Schmurdle is a free Wordle-style word guessing game. Guess the hidden word in a limited number of tries: green tiles are right letter, right spot; yellow tiles are in the word but in the wrong spot; grey tiles are not in the word. Unlike a once-a-day puzzle, you can play as many games as you like.
You choose 4, 5 or 6 letter words. You get one more guess than the word has letters.
Common uses everyday words, Challenging adds less familiar words, and Expert uses the hardest. Any valid Scrabble word can be used as a guess.
Keyboard hints color the on-screen keys from your guesses. Free placement lets you put a letter on any tile in the current row. Loose mode gives you one extra guess and keeps its own stats. All three are optional.
Yes. No login is needed to play. A free login saves your settings and tracks your stats. See the full how-to-play guide, or try Albert Holt's other word games, Schmabble and Word Hunt, or number games, Sudoku and Nonograms.
