Schmabble is a free online multiplayer word game that plays like Scrabble, with its own twists. Play asynchronously against family and friends, taking your turn whenever it suits you, or play against BoB, the built-in computer opponent.
You start with extra tiles and discard down before your first word, eight wildcard squares let you choose the letter a tile plays as, and house rules such as Fair Draw Mode, which cuts down on bad-luck tile draws, are yours to set for each game. A Tournament preset uses standard Scrabble-style setup.
Yes. Playing is free and needs a free login so your games are saved. Read the full how-to-play guide, or try Albert Holt's other word games, Schmurdle and Word Hunt, or number games, Sudoku and Nonograms.
